| Carrier Pre-select
- The UK Government has de-regulated telephone
charges to create real competition and better value for
consumers. Big business has been taking advantage of this
for years.
- Until now small businesses, schools and home
users have needed to dial extra digits or buy smart boxes
for every phone handset, too much
hassle.
- This all changed in 2002 when Carrier
Pre-select was introduced which allows calls to be routed
automatically to the supplier of your choice, without any
changes to lines or equipment.
- Customers complete a simple order
form, which instructs BT
to make a change at the exchange and route your calls to
another
supplier automatically.
- Customers are usually free to change supplier
as often as they want, limited only by the 10-20 day change
over time and cooling off period.
